Another power packed event in August follows the Conscious Convergence last month, where thousands of people around the world placed their intentions on manifesting unity consciousness.
Today, August 8th represents another gateway we are moving through, and each of us will experience it in our own way. Many previous gateways have occurred in August, notably the Harmonic Convergence in 1987, and the 8-8-8 shift that came a year later. Succeeding the energy of Flow in July, the month of August opened in the Mayan Galactic Tone numeric of "Two" which represents "Duality". This could be indicative of the ‘polarities' Gillian mentions above, as duality certainly is the experience of polarities. Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number."

Gorilla Glue
We had it so well planned. Like our Spiritual Blueprint discussed in my book, each one of us had a plan for our unfolding and awakening in this lifetime. Except for those who came to sleep. They needed the rest.
But back to the plan.
Coming from omnipresence and connection with the All, we agreed to enter into separation so that we could find our way back to Oneness. That would complete our illumination. We packed our spiritual bags, filled them with everything we would need, tossed in a toothbrush and added a professional designation of Divine Creator to make sure everything would run smoothly.
Along the way, somewhere between Mayberry USA and Uncertain, Texas some part of the plan went awry. Things we didn't want started happening. Pain crept into the equation, along with shame and guilt and fear. Oh, and anger. Lots of that. Since we left our instruction manual back at Central Processing, we couldn't look up more information we needed for the ‘Troubleshooting' section that would shed some light on how to fix what went wrong, and all the things that spiraled out of those seemingly wrong creations.
Here's where the Gorilla Glue comes into the mix.
That stuff fixes everything! For indoor and outdoor use, waterproof and self-spreading, there isn't anything around Gorilla Glue can't fix. But you have to be careful. This self-professed wonder adhesive bonds dissimilar substances like they were Siamese twins.
And frankly, sometimes what we want, and what we end up creating on our journey can look a lot like unrelated, divergent atomic matter, but hold the nine iron! Whatever direction we hit the golf ball (excluding the slice) the ball travels that trajectory. Whatever the focus of our thoughts and feelings, the vibration draws to itself the same likeness.
And whatever we apply Gorilla Glue to, you can be assured it will stick to something. Now, we might be smart when applying the glue, thinking ahead, planning it out, measuring every step of the delicate process, just like our spiritual path, even considering what to wipe away the extra with. The closest thing at hand? Kleenex. Grab the Kleenex and be ready for the extra amount that spills over the side.
Like our Spiritual Blueprint, we had everything planned out. We didn't count on the glue seeping through the Kleenex, and adhering the white fluffy stuff to our fingers. We didn't calculate the additional adhesive qualities once it saturated the Kleenex and joined our fingers. And we didn't realize how hard it would be to remove once it has permanently bonded said fingers to each other.
Sigh.....
Thank God for the illusion of Time. Because eventually we get our fingers unstuck and the hardened Kleenex wears off. And fortunately for us, our undesirable creations end up teaching us what we really DO want, enabling us to become better Creators, which is what we had planned all along.

Happy Birthday Leos! There's tons of Solar energy coming our way in August as the Sun illuminates the Fire sign of Leo. Since it's my birth sign, I happen to know a lot about Leo's considering the many friends who also share this energy with me. Leos are creative, enthusiastic and sometimes drama Queens. Their keyword, "I Will" sums it up, as the saying goes - come hell or high water! - Leo's WILL!
The Sun entered the sign of the Lion on July 22nd, followed by a complex eruption on the surface of the Sun on the 1st which created a massive coronal mass ejection (CME) sending waves of solar wind and plasma headed right for us.
The dance of planets this month continues to feature those who have been in the spotlight: Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn and Pluto, and we'll toss in a little Mercury Retrograde mid-month to make it even more interesting. According to astrologer Henry Seltzer, "Pluto in the early degrees of Capricorn, squared by Saturn in the first degree of Libra, and also squared by Uranus and Jupiter in early Aries.... This perfect storm of influences presage a good dose of tension, trouble and resulting transformation, since planet earth is of the vibration of "Harmony Through Conflict," meaning that we don't start to make major changes in ourselves until it is absolutely necessary."
People have been talking about the Cardinal T-Square, myself included, for many months now. Henry continues, "The Pluto-Uranus square is just coming into bloom, with many exact hits yet to come, the soonest taking place about two years hence, in June of 2012. This all translates into further transformation for the American scene and for each one of us personally in the years ahead, but without the violent polarization that we see now in the political landscape, and that might reach its peak this summer and early fall."
August will no doubt prove to be a pivotal and highly charged month, beginning with the Sun's ejections of plasma, and 5 planets in retrograde motion. We have a powerful New Moon in Leo on the 9th, deeply seeding the intentions and activating the crystalline codes in our DNA that the 8/8 gateway is awakening.
The Perseids, one of the biggest meteor showers of the year with up to 100 meteors per hour, has its maximum viewing day approach on August 12th.
According to NASA, it will be quite a show.
"You know it's a good night when a beautiful alignment of planets is the second best thing that's going to happen. Thursday, August 12th, is such a night. The show begins at sundown when Venus, Saturn, Mars and the crescent Moon pop out of the western twilight in tight conjunction. All four heavenly objects will fit within a circle about 10 degrees in diameter, beaming together through the dusky colors of sunset. No telescope is required to enjoy this naked-eye event.
"The planets will hang together in the western sky until 10 pm or so. When they leave, following the sun below the horizon, you should stay, because that is when the Perseid meteor shower begins. From 10 pm until dawn, meteors will flit across the starry sky in a display that's even more exciting than a planetary get-together. The Perseid meteor shower is caused by debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle. Every 133 years the huge comet swings through the inner solar system and leaves behind a trail of dust and gravel. When Earth passes through the debris, specks of comet-stuff hit the atmosphere at 140,000 mph and disintegrate in flashes of light. These meteors are called Perseids because they fly out of the constellation Perseus.
"Swift-Tuttle's debris zone is so wide, Earth spends weeks inside it. Indeed, we are in the outskirts now, and sky watchers are already reporting a trickle of late-night Perseids. The trickle could turn into a torrent between August 11th and 13th when Earth passes through the heart of the debris trail. 2010 is a good year for Perseids because the Moon won't be up during the midnight-to-dawn hours of greatest activity. Lunar glare can wipe out a good meteor shower, but that won't be the case this time. As Perseus rises and the night deepens, meteor rates will increase. For sheer numbers, the best time to look is during the darkest hours before dawn on Friday morning, Aug. 13th, when most observers will see dozens of Perseids per hour.
Venus also plays an important role this month, as Leo rules the heart, and Venus is often associated as the planet of Love and aligned with the Heart Chakra. Venus will conjunct Mars in its own sign of Libra, and influence aspects of the Uranus-Pluto square as well. With Saturn firmly ensconced in Libra, we'll see deeper feelings, many from our past, rising to the surface to be balanced and cleared once and for all.
Mercury spends a few weeks retrograde in Virgo from the 20th until September 12th. Mercury represents the mind, and the link between matter and spirit. Its influence is strong in the analytical sign of Virgo, and our focus will be improved as a result.
The Sun enters the sign of Virgo on the 23rd, and we will feel a shift toward getting things done that have been hanging in limbo this summer. The Full Moon in Pisces on the 24th will amplify the feelings we've been processing all month, and we may even feel a little tender and vulnerable in this moon's light.
Now more than ever is the time for us to embrace higher aspects of our being. Choose your thoughts, feelings and words carefully, and be certain they are aligned with the highest aspect of your own Divinity.
