Tremendous energies are afoot this month! Hundreds of thousands of celebrations that will occur celebrating the energy of Liberty, followed by a Lunar and Solar Eclipse in July, and another Lunar Eclipse in August.....and fertile dreams coming to fruition under the sign of Cancer.....wow!
We welcome July in the Mayan Galactic Tone of "9" which is representative of the aspect of "Patience", given in the MayanMajix.com website's daily Tzolkin calendar. I'm sure that's just what you wanted to hear, we must be patient! "The energy of nine is one of getting a perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of nine, plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine." This information aligns with what has been happening on a planetary level in June, and passing the midpoint of the of the Sixth Day of the Galactic Underworld cycle according to the Mayan Calendar which I reported in May. We have a very interesting Sun sign for July 1st, whose energy overlays the month, and we find an amazing connection with the Galactic Tone. "Monkey (B'aatz*Chuen) is known to the Maya as the Weaver, or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey."
Take note, because in July we have the completion of cycles, the celebration of Liberty, and the weaving of new patterns - this month holds great potential!
I also find it interesting that the Mayan Elder's Earth Activation ceremonies last month at Coba, Mexico and this month in Copan, Honduras - both ancient sites I have visited - have helped to amplify the Hunab Ku energies (reported in my May newsletter).

"Every Full Moon we are going to make a spiritual journey to every one of the sacred sites on the list, starting our first ceremony on November 13, 2008, and continuing that way until carrying out the last ceremony on December 28, 2012, completing an initiatic cycle of 52 moons. The ancient Mayas used to make these spiritual journeys to the ancient ceremonial centers in order to activate all the sacred sites from all around the world. During the ceremony, both the ritual conductors as well as the whole humankind will be asked to keep their minds clear so that our understanding ability can be illumined and we can understand the wisdom of the universal intelligence."

Energy Focus for the Month...RELEASE! The more we let go of, the more we are able to embrace. If our hands are free, just imagine the potential we have to open ourselves to the moment. The more we let go of, the more powerful we become. Lovely concepts, aren't they? We know in this human experience, the saying sometimes goes, it can be "easier said than done"! The focus this month is on completing cycles and opening ourselves up to new patterns, new dreams planted, and new ways of being in the world. The only way to do that is to release the past, let go of who we thought we were, and empty ourselves of old programming that no longer serves us.
Affirmation for July I Embrace The Freedom That Is My Divine Birthright, And Establish For Myself New Patterns Aligned With My Highest And Greatest Good.
TOOLS....A Visualization Whatever it is that desire to let go of, take a few moments in quiet, prayerful time, call in your guides or simply call upon God, Jesus, Buddha, Archangel Michael, whomever you wish to assist you. Aligning and centering yourself with your breath, see that which you want to let go of and hold it in the palm of your hands, then call upon your spiritual agent and request their help in releasing it back to Source to be transformed. See it floating away, and affirm for yourself that it is gone, and you are free. Then replace that which has been released with more of the light of your I Am Presence. See a golden light filling the space of what you have just let go of.

The first celebration of our Independence took place on July 8, 1776, four days after the Declaration of Independence was adopted. On that day the declaration was read aloud, city bells rang and bands played. Within a few years the Fourth of July was observed throughout most of the new nation, although until 1783 the city of Boston, Massachusetts, commemorated Independence Day on March 5th, the date of the Boston Massacre. Several important projects were started on Independence Day . Work on the Erie Canal in New York State began on July 4, 1817. Construction of the first railroad in the United States, the Baltimore and Ohio, was started on July 4, 1828. July 4 was the date selected in 1848 for laying the cornerstone of the Washington Monument in the U.S. Capital.

This month as Americans enjoy ballpark franks cooked on their webber grill while tossing back a Pabst Blue Ribbon and hosing down the neighbors lawn set afire by the homemade bottle rockets shot out of coke bottles, maybe we can squeeze in a few moments to reflect on the idea of freedom.
George M. Cohen did decades ago, and it is fitting that we do as well.
Last night, my husband and I watched a program on public television about a couple of women who wanted to defect from North Korea, the risks they faced, and the fearful journey their choice demanded of them.
It was very compelling and made us appreciate all the more the incredible freedoms we enjoy as Americans. And we believe, as many others do, that with those freedoms comes a bit of responsibility to leave this gorgeous blue-green orb we call home better than we found it, to help others realize their potential, and inspire as many people as we can to believe that collectively, we can change the world.
Through citizen diplomacy, public advocacy, political action, philanthropy or volunteerism, we have the opportunity to act as Kahil Gibran suggested when he said "Work is love made visible." Beyond that, we can do something as simple as focused prayer for areas around the world which need it most.
As we move into a greater awareness of our collective humanity and the fabric that weaves our destiny together, how can we fully experience freedom when we see so much suffering in the world? Small actions and a growing force of compassion will lead us where we need to go. Do one thing every day to make your world, our world, a better place.

We'll light the candles this month for those under the sign of Cancer, whose key-word is "I Feel". And speaking of which, we are all still feeling the powerful alignment of Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron in Aquarius which continues the focus on our greater soul purpose. The Big news this month, of course, are the Eclipses!
A Penumbral Lunar Eclipse will occur in Capricorn on July 7th, also the date for the Full Moon, and Mayan earth activation ceremony at the site of Copan in Honduras. This is one of four that will take place this year, and is followed by the third on August 6th. After a cycle of roughly 18 months, the Moon's north and south nodes are shifting from Aquarius and Leo, to Capricorn and Cancer. These combined energies represent manifesting our dreams through the work and focus needed to being them into being.
The total eclipse of the Sun takes place on the heels of the New Moon in Cancer on July 21st, and will be visible to people throughout Asia and the Pacific (but not to North America or Europe). Eclipses are believed to trigger or amplify events on both physical and energetic levels. As this solar eclipse occurs in the cardinal sign of Cancer, the other cardinal signs of Libra; Capricorn; and Aries may also feel more effects. The next Solar Eclipse will arrive in January 2010.
People are always interested in knowing which planets are in retrograde, and this month, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all retrograde, and will remain so until the fall. Their movement and conjunction places a greater emphasis on releasing old patterns and embracing a newer, higher vision of our lives.
Two meteor showers will put on a sky show this month, the Delta Aquarids on the 28-29th, with a peak of 20 meteors per hour, and the Capricornids on the 29th - 30th, which are known for producing fireballs - so get out and look at the night sky toward the end of the month!
I always look forward to August, as it is my birth month. We will continue our spiritual growth and expansion, and really feel that shift settling in next month.
