Even Angels Need A BreakIt dawned on me the other day why everyone moves into ‘declutter-organize-and-clean- out' mode this time of year. When the leaves start dropping, we feel the beckon call of nature to let go and lighten our load. Subconsciously, every leaf that wafts down in front of us reminds us of the judgments we have buried, the pain we have held on to, the disappointments suffered, and the weight we have carried to this point in our year. No wonder we might feel like hopping a plane to Hawaii with just the clothes on our back! Ok, maybe that's just me. The point is that Fall reminds us of the freedom that awaits us if we would only lay our burdens down. The vibrant colors of red, orange and yellow hues reflect those areas in our bodies that are affected by this heaviness: the lower three chakras, Root-Red, seat of passion and manifestation; Naval-Orange, seat of the emotional body, and Solar Plexus-Yellow, seat of our power. This desire to clean out is representative of our deeper desire to cleanse the energy of these important centers in our bodies thereby enabling us to enter into this new period of Harvest and future seed planting in a more en-‘lightened' state. The ancients knew what we are just figuring out. That powerful shifts and energetic alignments occur at this time of year, and we feel their effects on many levels. How we integrate these energies in our lives is dependent upon our mindfulness and presence in the moment. The recent shift on 9/9/9/ was highlighted in my newsletter last month and coordinated with a meditation I provided to subscribers. It is interesting to me that my guidance led me to a vision of light coming down and penetrating our multidimensional selves, as we are by nature physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and etheric beings. It was only after crafting that message and receiving the meditation that I came upon the photo that I shared with you of the shaft of light penetrating the spiral petroglyph known as the Sun Dagger at Chaco Canyon. I believe there is a correlation there for us to see if we look deeper. Carved in stone a thousand years ago is the wisdom that we have the opportunity to let go and cleanse the many layers of our being through the integration of Light. Perhaps there are days when you just don't feel like it. I understand. Sometimes this whole awakening business feels like a lot of work and our batteries are running on empty. Not to worry, just take some time out to rest and re-charge. Heck, even Angels need to take a break now and then, beautifully illustrated by my friend Kat McIver's clay sculpture "Home from the Soaring" (shown in this month's newsletter).
Just for today, take your wings off and rest a while. |
