Last Sunday the 27th I had the pleasure of being a guest on Ahzjah Simons radio show "The Conscious Zone" -
TheSource.FM http://www.consciouszone.com/. We talked for an hour on a variety of subjects surrounding my work with The Keys, and a primary focus of my lectures and workshops this year, The Soul's Highest Potential. One of the questions Ahzjah asked related to the nature of our personal missions - the reason we are here - and whether that had to be something really big, or if it could be something quite simple. A great question.
Certainly you've heard it comically said before that when asked about past lives, everyone wants to be Cleopatra or Julius Caesar or Napoleon or George Washington. Big, bold and famous. And often, we think about our personal missions in a similar way - yes, it's entirely up to me to save the whole planet!
In actuality, when defining and aligning with our mission, allow for the great truth that it can be something so simple that changes the course of history. One simple act of kindness, one act of forgiveness, one act of mercy, one act of generosity that changes the path of the recipient, producing a change in direction that ripples continually outward until it travels around the globe. That is a powerful act of profound simplicity.
Last week I received a call from a fellow in Melbourne I had met two years ago. Gene was calling to order another book for a friend, and talked with me about the impact of the book on his understanding and spiritual growth. As he shared with me how much The Keys had meant to him, and all his friends with whom he had shared the book, I could physically feel my heart opening.
His simple act of ordering a book for a friend, and sharing with me his increasing awareness touched me deeply, and in that moment, I felt changed. I carried that feeling with me throughout the day, and know it had to have rubbed off on people I met and spoke with at the three different events we attended later on.
And so it goes. Energy moves and energy flows, and where it stops, nobody knows.
