An exciting New Year is before us, and many are consumed in thoughts related to the year ahead, projects and paths we shall take. Many of us are still dealing with shades and patterns of the past. As we embrace a new paradigm, it requires us to let go of the old. That can be a hard thing to do. In speaking with a friend today about the beginning of the Universe, the role Source / God played in it’s creation, and how much of what we experience daily is illusion, we agreed on 3 basic but simple truths. First, God is Love. That’s an easy one. Second, our thoughts create our reality. Requires great responsibility. Third, we see the world as we are, not as it is. Somebody famous said something similar. So, everything is a creation from within each of us, individually, and collectively. Change requires us to be it, as Gandhi so wisely knew. Easy to talk the talk, tougher to walk the walk. Your actions do not hold all the power in your creation, your reality. Thoughts, feelings and emotions, and spoken words all carry and project energy and frequency. Become more aware of these if you wish to change something…whether it be in your own life, or a positive shift for our planet, for humankind. We all have a part to play in creating the kind of world we want our children to grow up with. We see the ravages of war and fear and poverty and hunger, feeling helpless to make a difference. It’s not true. We do matter, and we can all perform small acts of kindness anywhere, anytime. That is within our power. I happened to pick up a copy of Oprah’s magazine, the January 2007 issue. It’s seldom I have a chance to really read some of the articles within, but she said something wonderful about creating change. To paraphrase…. ‘We don’t have to be perfect, we just have to do better. That we can do.’ So, start with a small area of your life where you desire movement, or change. Tackle a little bit at a time. Do more to support your goal. Take small actions that will take you where you want to go. Our future lay in your hands, and in your ability to choose Love. I pray you make the right choice today. |
