Our Spiritual Path Is A Lot Like Gorilla Glue

We had it so well planned. Like our Spiritual Blueprint discussed in my book, each one of us had a plan for our unfolding and awakening in this lifetime. Except for those who came to sleep. They needed the rest.

But back to the plan.

Coming from omnipresence and connection with the All, we agreed to enter into separation so that we could find our way back to Oneness. That would complete our illumination. We packed our spiritual bags, filled them with everything we would need, tossed in a toothbrush and added a professional designation of Divine Creator to make sure everything would run smoothly.

Along the way, somewhere between Mayberry USA and Uncertain, Texas some part of the plan went awry. Things we didn't want started happening. Pain crept into the equation, along with shame and guilt and fear. Oh, and anger. Lots of that. Since we left our instruction manual back at Central Processing, we couldn't look up more information we needed for the ‘Troubleshooting' section that would shed some light on how to fix what went wrong, and all the things that spiraled out of those seemingly wrong creations.

Here's where the Gorilla Glue comes into the mix.

That stuff fixes everything! For indoor and outdoor use, waterproof and self-spreading, there isn't anything around Gorilla Glue can't fix. But you have to be careful. This self-professed wonder adhesive bonds dissimilar substances like they were Siamese twins.

And frankly, sometimes what we want, and what we end up creating on our journey can look a lot like unrelated, divergent atomic matter, but hold the nine iron! Whatever direction we hit the golf ball (excluding the slice) the ball travels that trajectory. Whatever the focus of our thoughts and feelings, the vibration draws to itself the same likeness.

And whatever we apply Gorilla Glue to, you can be assured it will stick to something. Now, we might be smart when applying the glue, thinking ahead, planning it out, measuring every step of the delicate process, just like our spiritual path, even considering what to wipe away the extra with. The closest thing at hand? Kleenex. Grab the Kleenex and be ready for the extra amount that spills over the side.

Like our Spiritual Blueprint, we had everything planned out. We didn't count on the glue seeping through the Kleenex, and adhering the white fluffy stuff to our fingers. We didn't calculate the additional adhesive qualities once it saturated the Kleenex and joined our fingers. And we didn't realize how hard it would be to remove once it has permanently bonded said fingers to each other.

Sigh.....

Thank God for the illusion of Time. Because eventually we get our fingers unstuck and the hardened Kleenex wears off. And fortunately for us, our undesirable creations end up teaching us what we really DO want, enabling us to become better Creators, which is what we had planned all along.
